New concoctions?

So, what has been new on your homebrewing front? The wine/Mead logs look as empty as mine this year....

I reflect back on how much fun it was to make everything that we did, I would love to get back into it again once Tracy is a bit more comfortable with it. After the past 2 years we have had, we picked the wrong year to abstain from a beautifully brewed beverage!

I must admit that I haven't been keeping up with the logs online. To tell the truth, I think I was the only one using them and it was a lot of work to maintain them for my own records. I have continued to brew though and would love your thoughts and opinions like in the old days.

I've been making mostly Mead and Blueberry wine. I have a mother-in-law that braves the snakes and skeeters to harvest blueberries on the cheap down where she lives. She gets the berries, I make the wine. A decent arrangement. I still think the best recipe I have is the blueberry wine.

Oh! I forgot about the time I almost had some bottle bombs! I made my first pyment (grapes & honey) and the damn thing started fermenting again after it was bottled! I pulled a cork on a bottle one night and poured my wife what appeared to be sparkling wine. Ah!

Of course, the only cure for this was to have pyment every night until it was gone, for fear that the bottles would blow at any time. Hehee... that was fun, but a stupid mistake. Looking back, I think I forgot to put the arresting agent in the batch before bottling. Oops. Anyway, we were thinking of you as we drank that batch.
